Halibut (lat. Reinhardtius hippoglossoides) is a predatory fish of the flounder family, distinguished by its size. Some giants can grow up to 3-4 m in length and weigh 300 kg.
Food experts consider halibut meat to be the best in the world, as few fish have such a thick layer of white, boneless and very tasty meat. This fish is very suitable for dieting. Halibut fillet is valued in a healthy diet for its high protein and Omega-3 fatty acid content.
Halibut can be deliciously prepared by baking in the oven, on the grill wrapped in foil and on a skewer with shrimp. Mayonnaise with cream sauce or hot sauce with onions, garlic and chili peppers are suitable for this fish. If you are not too lazy to make herb butter while frying halibut in foil and add vegetables to it, you will have a particularly delicious and aesthetically pleasing dish.
